LEICESTER'S 2023 teams were both in attendance for Press Day at a damp Pidcock Motorcyles Arena, Beaumont Park on Tuesday.
Despite the inclement weather conditions which prevented any on-track practice, there was plenty of media interest in the event as we were joined by BBC Radio Leicester broadcasting live from 6pm-7pm, BBC East Midlands Today who will be screening a feature on the club with interviews on Thursday, and Cross Counties Radio.
The Watling JCB Lions enjoyed a successful bonding day at JCB headquarters which included a most informative tour showcasing the history of the company, the administration operation, and then a trip around the factory floor to see the production line.
In the afternoon, the party were taken to the nearby quarry where the riders were able to take their turn in some heavy machinery as they looked to complete various challenges - with Jake Allen emerging victorious!
Our thanks go to Andy Raine and all the JCB staff who gave us superb hospitality throughout the day.
Having returned to the stadium at teatime, the senior riders were joined by the Lion Cubs for photographs and interviews, with both teams very much looking forward to launching the 2023 campaign.
